About

The nakba, or catastrophe, refers to the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians in 1948 by Israeli ethnic cleansing operations during the Arab-Israeli War. More than 700,000 Palestinian Arabs fled from their homes and were expelled by Zionist militias. Farha follows the Palestinian nakba and its effect on a teenage Palestinian girl wanting to further her education. This is a story of how a vicious occupation started, and is ongoing to this day.
